This position requires a full time working hours system which domiciled in Hung Hom and its surroundings.

The starting salary we can offer is in a range from HK$14,000 - HK$43,000, this salary range that we offer is negotiable can change at any time according to our HRD's decision depending on the capability of the candidate can offered for our company.

Sustainability Engineer / Data Analyst (Ref. 230503011-IE)
[to be appointed at the substantive level of Campus Sustainability Officer]


The appointee will be required to:

(a) manage the University’s sustainability data, including establishment of a data collection system and conduct analysis on the sustainability performance data, in energy, water, waste and other key consumption data;

(b) conduct big data analysis to review the performance and identify decarbonisation opportunities to support Carbon Neutrality Roadmap and improve sustainability performance of the University;

(c) assess the University’s carbon footprint and emissions reduction according to the international and/or local Greenhouse Gas (GHG) accounting and reporting standards;

(d) prepare performance reports against the University’s carbon neutrality targets with recommendations on improvements;

(e) conduct internal audit and/or external verification for collected data;

(f) engage and liaise with relevant stakeholders in formulating and implementing decarbonisation strategies and solutions for the University;

(g) provide administrative support to sustainability programmes, campaigns, reports, audits and compliance for the University campuses; and

(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office or his delegates.


Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree, preferably a higher degree, in Mechanical/Electrical/Environmental /Energy/Building Services Engineering/Environmental Science/Computer Science or a related science discipline;

(b) have at least five years of work experience in participating in decarbonisation or energy conservation projects, environmental or sustainability projects in sizable organisations;

(c) have hands-on experience in project management as well as database establishment, maintenance and analysis;

(d) be familiar with carbon accounting and reporting standard based on the prevailing international and/or local practices or standards;

(e) be able to carry out both quantitative and qualitative analysis independently;

(f) have the proficiency in Microsoft Excel particularly in using pivot tables and VBA Excel, or any other data analysis and visualisation tools;

(g) have strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills;

(h) be self-motivated, detail-minded and able to work independently and proactively;

(i) be a good team player in a cross-cultural working environment; and

(j) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Preference will be given to those who have:

(a) experience in campus sustainability and professional qualification/membership related to energy, environmental or sustainability management;

(b) sound knowledge of HVAC, BMS and/or simulations/modelling of better HVAC system operational efficiency;

(c) hands-on experience in big data analysis, visualisation platform, database management, data modelling and other business analytics or data visualisation tools; and

(d) experience in mobile apps UI & UX enhancement.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
