We are open recruitment and happily inform you that we are looking for candidates to fill the position of Clerical Officer I/II in the Computing Services Centre [Ref. D/368/03] in our company, City University of Hong Kong. For candidates who reside in Kowloon City Area and its neighboring regions, we are looking for you to be a part of us and work in our company office, and able to labor under a full time & contract system.

We offer you a fairly competitive salary that can be adjusted depending on the credibility you can contribute to our company. It typically ranges from HK$14,000 - HK$43,000 and likely to change at any time. This salary negotiation must be agreed based on our company's HRD agreement.

The Computing Services Centre (CSC) at City University of Hong Kong manages the University’s Information Technology infrastructure and services covering Data Centre Operations, Cloud and System Hosting, Research Computing and High-Performance Computing, Communication and Networking, Workspace and Audio-Visual Technologies, and other related IT functions to support the University’s operations.  The Centre has about 110 staff and contractors currently.


  1. Provide full-range of administrative and clerical support to the General Office;
  2. Support procurement activities including preparation of PR and tendering documents, payment arrangement and reconciliation, etc.;
  3. Maintain assets and inventory records, service/maintenance contract records and renewals, timesheet and overtime claims, etc.;
  4. Manage the Computer Warranty Extension Scheme;
  5. Handle petty cash, payment/expense and records update;
  6. Provide logistics support and events/facility management;
  7. Update relevant webpages and SharePoint sites;
  8. Address and follow up email and telephone enquiries to the department;
  9. Prepare statistics and reports; and
  10. Perform any other duties as assigned.


5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics with at least 6 years’ relevant experience (of which at least 2 years at supervisory level).  A Higher Diploma/Associate Degree/Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Accounting/IT-related disciplines would be beneficial but not mandatory.  Good command of English and Chinese; high IT proficiency especially in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word-processing; good organisational and interpersonal skills; highly committed with strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail; being self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team are required.

Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical Officer II.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
