About the Role 

The Admissions Officer’s role at Guidepost Hong Kong is to engage with prospective families with the objective to enroll families to Guidepost Hong Kong schools and programs across the city. This person will be the first point of contact for many families who enquire through our central admissions channels including phone, email, and WhatsApp. Responsibilities include assisting families through the admissions process, providing insight into admissions dynamics to campus leaders, and introducing the Guidepost brand to the community. The Admissions Officer is a key member of the central Marketing & Admissions team, which leads the admissions process up to the point of a campus visit, at which point the campus leader takes over as the primary point of contact for the prospective family. The key measures of success will be the number of campus visits completed (for tours, trial classes, or other events) and conversion rates through the admissions funnel.

Specific responsibilities include but not limited to,

  • Develop expertise on Guidepost campuses and programs to lead occasional campus tours or support on-campus admissions processes in other ways from time to time.
  • Engage with prospective families, receiving and responding to inquiries through various channels to provide information on Guidepost programs and channel inquiries to the appropriate campus and program, driving tours, trials, or other campus visits.
  • Work with the Marketing and Admissions team to develop, implement, evaluate, and continuously refine the campus’ strategy for recruiting, accepting, and matriculating best- fit students from Hong Kong.
  • Build cooperative relationships with campus leadership teams to provide the best experience to prospective families throughout the admissions process.  
  • Maintain accurate daily lead management data for regular reporting and informing on future strategic actions.   
  • Contribute positively to a professional, effective and efficient admissions process.
  • Supporting the planning and organization of school events including Open Days, community-related events and external school fairs.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • A school admissions and enrolment background is beneficial but not required; any experience in customer-facing service or sales is valuable preparation for this position.
  • Exceptional inter-personal and communication skills and ability to be empathetic with a school community to build strong relationships and tap into the needs of parents so that communications are relevant and impactful.
  • Communications knowledge and experience in both message development and execution, gained in an environment working across multiple channels, engaging with diverse audiences.
  • Result-oriented, possesses analytical mindset and effective time management skills.  A self-starter who is a quick, efficient and can take ownership of their determined tasks and deliver them to high standards – a safe pair of hands. 
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision and to think creatively around problem-solving.
  • Experience working in diverse, multicultural and multinational communities and work environments.
  • Experience and skill with computer technology including database management, Excel, and Word, and Powerpoint.
  • Willingness to support the development of HGE in teams and individually.
  • BA required, fluency in both English, Cantonese, and Mandarin with an international background is highly preferred.
